MyoRoller Instructions              Print PDF

The MyoRoller has two adjustable high density balls that can be positioned anywhere along the shaft to accommodate different areas of the body. Push or pull them as you twist the ball to slide it anywhere along the shaft.

To provide back therapy, adjust the balls providing enough space between them so the contact points of the balls are separated enough to avoid direct contact with the vertebrae.  It is not recommended applying direct pressure to the vertebrae.  Place the MyoRoller on the floor or other flat rigid support surface (such as a table or chair) and gently lay back onto the MyoRoller.

The balls can provide static acupressure and Trigger Point Release (TRP) by remaining stationary or you can slowly move back and forth and enjoy a rolling massage.

For your shins, calves, wrists, forearms, and pecs, reduce the space between the balls.  You can continue to use the MyoRoller as it sits on the flat rigid support surface, with the area being treated applying downward pressure while stationary or while rolling back and forth slowly.     OR….

You can also hold the outer wooden trigger point release balls in the palm of your hand, with a loose grip and use it like a rolling pin on calves, hamstrings, quads, just about any area of the body you can reach.      OR….

for those lucky enough, have someone else do the work using the tool to provide a rolling massage while you are lying down.

The ends of the MyoRoller has two 1.25” wooden balls that are used as Trigger Point Release tips.  Slide one ball to close to an end. Apply the tip to the area

requiring treatment while holding the ball in one hand applying downward circular pressure, and applying downward pressure to the opposite end with your free hand.  If you don’t know about Trigger Point Release, do a web search to learn about it.  We have found the most extensive source is written by Paul Ingraham, CMT (www.saveyourself.ca)

The MyoRoller can be used as a Still Point Inducer ($21.95) which is basically a head or neck rest.  It is quite relaxing and is a nice tool for meditation.  Still Point Inducement is claimed to reduce headache pain.  Adjust the balls to your preference and rest your head or neck on the two points of contact.  It can be used for the back of head and neck, and you can also use it while laying on your side for the temples, or laying face down for your forehead.

The MyoRoller can be used in any direction, not just the length of muscle tissue.  Be creative, it is best utilized by trial and error.
