An example would be placing the ShiatsuBag atop a cushion which is placed on the floor or your bed. Lying stationary with the small of the back on the bag, it provides back traction similar to the TrueBack®, or with minimal effortless movement experience a relaxing deep penetrating massage.
MyoBalls are available in a wide variety of sizes and degrees of hardness. The ShiatsuBag comes with ten 3.5" firm balls and five 4" softer balls. If the penetration is too hard and uncomfortable, replace the firmer balls with softer 4" MyoBalls, or put a cushioning medium such as a rubber or foam mat on the support surface under the ShiatsuBag. Other options include placing a towel or some other type of cushioning material directly ontop of the ShiatsuBag or you can wear thicker clothing like a sweatshirt.
As you use the ShiatsuBag and the firm balls regularly, your body not only receives the benefits of relaxation, soft tissue therapy, and trigger point release, but your MUSCLES WILL BECOME STRONGER AND MORE FLEXIBLE.
The MyoBalls can be arranged flat or or you may choose to clump or pile the balls to receive acupressure and or massage in the deeper contours of your body such as the neck, armpits, and inner thigh.
The ShiatsuBag makes a fantastic pillow for sitting as you work, or relax while reading or watching tv. It is unusual at first, but after sleeping a few times with a shiatsubag, you'll probably never use a regular pillow again.
